Succour came the way of Mr Abubakar Musa when he approached the Plateau State Office of the Commission over the verbal termination of his employment by his erstwhile employer BlackHorse Tobacco Ltd without payment of his entitlements.
The Respondent ,BlackHorse Tobacco Ltd was approached for it’s comments on the complaint and it maintained that the complainant’s appointment was terminated because his services were no longer required. The position of the company was considered arbitrary as verbal termination of appointment is unlawful and contrary to administrative best practices.
Following the Commission’s recommendations, the company properly disengaged the complainant and paid all his entitlement amounting to four hundred and forty four thousand, six hundred and thirty seven naira ( N444,637.00).
The cheque for aforementioned amount was issued to the Complainant at the Commission by the Plateau state Director of Investigation; Mr Daniel Parlong.
An overjoyed Musa was full of praises for the Commission for coming to his aid.
