EMPLOYEE GETS HIS SALARIES AS THE COMNISSION INTERVENES

Mr. Shola Oladungoye brought a case before the Commission since 2019 on the alleged failure of his employer, KYC Inter-project Limited to pay his outstanding salaries of the sum of N660,000.00.

The Commission investigated the matter and recommended that KYC should pay the Complainant the accumulated salaries but the company started dragging cold feet in responding to the recommendations.

Last month, November, 2022 the Company was summoned before the Magistrate Court Wuse 2, Abuja for flaunting the recommendations made by the Commission, an action which contraverned the provision of section 8(3) of the PCC Act, CAP P. 37 LFN 2004.

While in the court the Respondent pleaded guilty and promised to pay to pay the Complainant his entitlement.

Today, the 20th December, 2022 the Complainant, Mr. Shola Oladungoye received the sum of N500, 000.00 being part of the total sum owed by the Company.

The Respondent has promised to pay the balance of N160, 000.00 in a latter date.
