The Honourable Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Ebonyi State Office, Hon. Chukwu Donald Ogbonna has berated the Ebonyi State Fire Service for the delay in responding to the recent fire outbreak in Afikpo Market in the State.

The Honourable Commissioner lamented that the fire outbreak which razed down market stores gulping down goods worth millions of Naira would have been contained if the Fire service had responded promptly.

He was at the Afikpo Market to commiserate with the victims of the accident.

Hon. Ogbonna pledged the Commission’s readiness to further investigate the causes of the fire outbreak and the role played by the Fire Service.
