The Honourable Chief Commissioner, Ondo state Office of the Commission, Hon. Adeyemi Oni received in his office the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, CC olatundun olayinka.
Commandant olatundun olayinka was recently posted to the Ondo state Command of the NSCDC .He made it known that the purpose of the Courtesy visit was part of his tour to acquaint himself with the government agencies and stakeholders in the State and to build on the existing cordial relationship between his agency and the commission.
Engr. Olatundun further stated that the Public Complaints Commission is a critical stakeholder in security business in the state.
He stressed that the role played by the Commission in resolving conflicts among aggrieved members of the public helps in reducing crisis and breach of security.
The Commandant said relationship with the Commission will help NSCDC realize it’s set goals of protecting lives and property in the state.
In addition the commandant informed the Honourable Commissioner that the NSCDC recently created a Conflict Resolution Unit where disputes can easily be resolved. He therefore requested the Commission for assistance in this regard.
In his response, the Honourable chief Commissioner, Adeyemi Oni expressed his gratitude to the Commandant for visiting the Commission. He also praised the good work of NSCDC in the state.
He further stated that the Commission’s objective is to promote social and administrative justice and assured the Commandant of the Commission’s willingness to work with NSCDC to make Ondo state peaceful and safe.
Earlier, the Director of Investigation, Mr Lah Saad while welcoming the Entourage of the NSCDC gave a brief account of the activities of the Commission.
He made known that the PCC had recently created an Enforcement Unit and as such the Commission would need the assistance of the Command in this regard.
Also in his vote of thanks, Director of investigation, Mr ldhiarhi expressed the commission’s delight and appreciated the visit adding that the Commission was looking forward to more cordial relationship between the two organizations.
