Federal Commissioner, Prince Ik. Samben Nwosu KSC made a strategic move to synergize with the Controller of Prisons, Anambra State Command, Barr. Emmanuel Anekwe Nwakeze. Prince Samben Nwosu urged the Prisons Comptroller never to hesitate in forwarding complaints to his office most especially as it pertains to injustice of any kind. He reiterated his readiness to fight corruption, social and administrative injustice using his good office as his doors are open for anyone who seeks for justice. The Commissioner pledges his readiness to visit the prisons in the State and to work in partnership with the State Prisons Command. The Prisons Comptroller, Barr. Nwakeze extolled the unequalled magnanimity of the Federal Commissioner in his strive to ensure he works with other arms of government especially the Prisons Command and for the restoration of hope to the average Anambra Workers in fighting injustice & corruption.

Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission Anambra State, Prince Samben Nwosu KSC, on 10th July, 2018 paid courtesy call to the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Anambra State Command, CIS Miriam A. Audu. During this visit, the Ombudsman, Prince Samben emphasized his readiness to fight social & administrative injustice against Anambrarians most especially the Anambra Workers. He reminded the audience that Public Complaints Commission is just like EFCC and ICPC. The Commissioner also seeked the partnership and support of the Anambra State Immigration Comptroller in his fight against corruption and injustice. CIS Miriam A. Audu, the State Comptroller of Immigration Service in her response, assured the Federal Commissioner of her unwavering support and cooperation. She as well congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment and encouraged him to continue with his good works.

Prince Samben Nwosu Ksc , Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, Anambra State paid courtesy visit to INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Anambra State , Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji. This visit was to build synergy & working relationship with INEC most especially as the 2019 general election was fast approaching, then. The Federal Commissioner emphasized on prompt response from INEC to the Commission on the cases of Public Petitions against them. Prince Samben Nwosu commended Dr. Nkwachukwu, the Anambra INEC REC for his hard works& good Leadership especially in his efforts during the Anambra Gubernatorial elections 2017 which made the election a peaceful & successful one. The OMBUDSMAN requested on behalf of the Commission to always be part of the activities in the electoral processes which will avail the Commission the opportunity to examine various pre-election and post-election complaints and reports which fall outside the purview of the election tribunals and through this way nip certain problems in the bud before they become cancerous.

Federal Commissioner , Public Complaints Commission, Prince Samben Nwosu Ksc in his usual style of building working synergy with Critical Stakeholders paid a courtesy call to the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP Garba Baba Umar, PSc, B.Ed (LA). The Federal Commissioner commended the Police Commissioner for his outstanding performance whose distinct qualities made him a “Pacesetter in the Police Force”. On behalf of the Commission, He requested partnership with the Police Force since there are salient areas where the Commission may be in special need of police services. These include the exchange of complaints where some cases lodged before the Commission have a criminal undertone and cannot be handled by it. Consequently, such cases are referred to the Police force and as expected, should be treated diligently. Another area was in the aspect of summons where the Commission may recourse to the service or intervention of the NPF in producing some recalcitrant witnesses for timely resolution of matters brought before it. The CP in his response described Public Complaints Commission as “Police policing the Police and Nigerian Citizens”. He assured the Federal Commissioner of his readiness to work with the Commission in fighting administrative & social injustice against the oppressed as requested.

The Hon. Federal Commissioner, Prince Samben Nwosu Ksc, made a landmark achievement as Memorandum of Understanding was reached with the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, Core Commander Sunday M. Ajayi. The Federal Road Safety Commander pledged his support to the Commission through several partnership programs with PCC and commended the Commissioner for his readiness to give the commission the facelift it deserves.

The MTN Management Staff, Mr Emeka Aririele, Zonal Manager of MTN (Awka and Owerri) and Mr Efosa Omokaro, the Marketing Manager in the zone paid a courtesy call to the Honourable Federal Commisioner , Public Complaints Commission Anambra State, Prince Samben Nwosu Ksc. On welcoming, the Management Staff of MTN, Public Complaints Commission (PCC) through the Federal Commissioner called on Telecommunication giant, not to ignore customers’ complaints about its services but should treat them with despatch. Prince Samben Nwosu said the PCC would enable MTN resolve matters which were within its capacity but will not be hesitant to ensure that grouses of Nigerians about the company were addressed. He commended the officials for their visit and noted that there was need for them to build a synergy that will enhance customer satisfaction and also help them achieve their organizational goals. He said MTN should partner PCC towards actualizing its ombudsman role of delivering good administrative justice and social stability in the country. “There are areas we can put our partnership to work, these include exchange of complaints which are lodged with the commission but have peculiar undertone, he said. Responding, Mr. Aririele said MTN will continue to deliver services according to best international practices adding that customer satisfaction was a priority for the company. He said the partnership request of PCC fell within the company’s CSR span and that he would report to the board for necessary decision and action

 

ON-THE-SPOT INVESTIGATION OF THE ANAMBRA INEC OFFICE FIRE OUTBREAK BY THE FEDERAL COMMISSIONER , PUBLIC COMPLAINTS COMMISSION , PRINCE SAMBEN NWOSU Ksc ON 13TH FEBRUARY, 2019

On 13th February 2019, the Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, Anambra State made an on the spot investigation at the Anambra INEC Office where there was fire outbreak on 12th February, 2019. The OMBUDSMAN was welcomed on arrival with his investigation team by the Anambra INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji Prince Samben Nwosu enquired the cause of the inferno of which the INEC REC explained that the fire outbreak started around 2:11pm while he was in a crucial meeting with stakeholders while the second fire outbreak occured around 10:50 pm. The fire burnt down election Materials especially the smart card readers which were inside two 40feet containers. The burnt smart card readers which were set to be used for election were 4,695 and 1,118 which were kept for reserve. Dr. Orji said that the cause of the fire incident was an electrical fault from the Air Conditioners in the said 40 feet containers. The OMBUDSMAN asked if the election would still hold in Anambra with the incident on ground and how credible would it be if at all it will hold. Dr. Orji was able to convince the Federal Commissioner that there is no cause for alarm since election will still hold. He said that smart card readers will come from the reserves from different States of the Federation of which most of them have already arrived and are being configured for optimum performance while the remaining ones are being expected from Abuja. He assured the OMBUDSMAN that the card readers will function effectively and that eligible voters should come out en masse to cast their votes. Prince Samben, while commiserating with INEC, appealed to the INEC REC to be vigilant so as to fore-stall future occurrence and ensure that there’s transparency in the forthcoming election. It is noteworthy that this on the spot investigation of the OMBUDSMAN is to ensure that there is credibility in the forthcoming election which has gone a long way to douse the political tension in the State since this accidental fire outbreak.

FEDERAL COMMISSIONER PUBLIC COMPLAINTS COMMISSION ANAMBRA STATE, PRINCE SAMBEN NWOSU Ksc FINALLY RESOLVED THE PROTRACTED AGBO-EDO MOTOR SPARE PARTS ASSOCIATION ELECTION CRISES IN A CASE CONFERENCE BETWEEN THE CONFLICTING PARTIES IN THE ASSOCIATION ON 14th NOVEMBER, 2018 The protracted crisis that scuttled the election of Agbo Edo Motor Spare Parts Association, Nnewi has been amicably resolved by the Hon. Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission Awka, Anambra State, Prince Samben Nwosu. Following a letter of complaints dated 31st October, 2018 lodged with the Commission on the election into Executive Offices of Agbo Edo Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association by Ogbuehi Alphonsus Ohazulike, Chairman Board of Trustees and the Patrons of Agbo-Edo Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association, Nnewi over their election. The Commission convened a case conference on the matter today, Wednesday 14th Nov. 2018 with Representatives of the parties, DSS and Media in attendance at the Head Office of Public Complaints Commission Awka, Anambra State. Some far reaching resolutions aimed at restoring peace to the Association were taken by the Federal Commissioner, Prince Samben Nwosu. Part of the resolutions is setting up a new electoral Committee to conduct election into various offices of the Association on 13th December 2018 with the following Members: 1). Hon. RESOLVED CASES SINCE THE ASSUMPTION OF OFFICE OF THE HONOURABLE FEDERAL COMMISSIONER, PUBLIC COMPLAINTS COMMISSSION ANAMBRA STATE, PRINCE SAMBEN NWOSU Ksc

The Honourable Federal Commissioner, Prince Samben Nwosu since assumption of office has officially received several complaints which most of them have been amicably resolved. Many pending cases were inherited by his administration of which almost all of them have also been resolved and justice took its course. Notable among these resolved cases was the reinstatement of the Auditor, Anambra State University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka Anmbra State who was unjustly relieved of her job which through the timely intervention of the indefatigable OMBUDSMAN, Prince Samben Nwosu was successfully reinstated and justice prevailed.
