MESSAGE FROM THE HON. COMMISSIONER

Public Complaints Commission was established by the Decree 31 of 1975 which later became CAP 37, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. The objectives of the Commission include among others; enhancement of the welfare of the downtrodden; protection of the interests of both the private and public sectors which are marginalized, oppressed, and need equity and fairness. The Commission was established by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in order to give hope and help to the hopeless and helpless respectively.

Other objectives include: addressing the issues of injustice in our society, as well as initiating, investigating and closing cases accordingly.

The Commission is lucky to have an astute and a seasoned Administrator, Hon. Prof. Micheal Awoke as our leader and Hon. Chief Commissioner. It is believed that with his outstanding quality leadership, the Commission will achieve its lost glories and positive dreams which were mainly hampered with non-availability of funds. Other challenges of the Commission include provision of modern facilities, good offices, Information Communication Technology (ICT) networks and welfare packages to both the Commissioners and staff.
