EKITI STATE

Public Complaints Commission Ekiti State office is one among the comity of State office of the Commission. Hon. Kayode Bamisile, the Honourable Commissioner inherited a progressing State office on his resumption on 12^th July, 2021. Topmost among the outlined programmes of Honourable Bamisile was engender harmonious working relationship among members of staff and to embark on aggressive publicity campaign to every nook and cranny of Ekiti State. True to this intention, the Honourable Commissioner Kayode Bamisile paid official familiarization visits on 13^th July, 2021 to the Chairman Ekiti State Council of Obas, His Royal Majesty Adwbanji Ajibade and the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command. Cp Babatunde Mobayo he decorated the Royal Father and Commissioner with the Public Complaints Commission’s badge.

Since his resumption the activities of the Commission have been aired on Nation Television, Nation Radio and State Radio, a remarkable feat that was unprecedented. He has make courtesy visit to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Funminiyi Afuye, Ekiti State Chief Judge, Honourable Justice John Oyewole Adeyeye, the General Managers NTA Engr. Olusegun Osinowo and FRCN Mr. Dokun Ladele and all these occasions, he spoke extensively on the function of the Commission and sought for symbiotic relationship between the Commission and all these Government agencies. As a matter of emphasis, he explained that the service of the Commission are cost free and for all and sundry.

On Thursday 18^th November and Friday 19^th November 2021, the Commission embarked on resuscitation programmes for all the Area offices in the State viz, Ijero Local Government, Oye Area Office, Ise Area Office, Omuo Area Office, Otun Area Office, Ilawe Area Office and Ado Area Office. The Area Offices were visited and new signposts were erected to signify a new beginning at the grass root.

The State office is striving hard to sustain her fight against all forms of Administrative Injustice in accordance with her mandate. A number of 373 cases were brought forward from the previous year, as at October 2021, the office has received a total number of 170 cases, so the number of cases that has received attention in the year 2021 is 543 and out of this number, 160 cases have been successfully closed, leaving a total number of 383 pending before the Commission as at October, 2021.

The leadership quality of Hon. Kayode Bamisile as the Honourable Commissioner Ekiti State is a great impetus for better and efficient performance of the office.
