OFFENCES PENALTIES ON CONVICTION
Anyone who publicize a complaint without the consent and approval of the Chief Commissioner or Commission as the case may be.N500 fine or six months imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment.
Anyone who knowingly or recklessly provide any information which is false in any material.N500 fine or six months imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment.
Anyone who fails or refuses to provide information when requested by the commission to do so within 30 days of the receipt of the request.N500 fine or six months imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment.
Anyone who willfully obstruct, interfere or resist any Commissioner or any other staff or servant of the Commission in the executive of his duty under the Commission’s Act.N500 fine or six months imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment
Anyone who aids, incites, induces or abets any other person to interfere with assault or resist any Commissioner, officer, or servant of the Commission in the execution of his duty under the Commission’s Act.N500 fine or six months imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment.
Anyone who, in respect of any complaint lodged by him, knowingly makes to a Commissioner any statement (whether or not in writing) which is false in any material particular.One year imprisonment without the option of fine.
Anyone who fails to appear before the Commission when summoned to give evidence in any matter.N500 fine or six months imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment.
