PCC Director of PRS/ICT Bows out of Service

It was celebration time filled with mixed feelings at the Headquarters of the Public Complaints Commission as management and Staff rolled out drums to celebrate the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics and the ICT, Alhaji Aliyu Nuhu Kaura-Sanni who was retiring after putting in the mandatory 35 years of service.

In his opening remarks, the Honourable Chief Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission and Deputy Secretary General of the African Ombudsman and Mediators Association (AOMA), Hon. Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf, congratulated the celebrant for a successful career and thanked him for all his contributions over the years towards the upliftment of the Commission.

The Honourable Chief Commissioner said, in all the years they worked together, he never found him wanting as he always delivered his assignments effectively and timely. He wished him well in all his future endeavors.

In her goodwill message, the Secretary to the Commission, Hajiya Salamatu Jummai Mamman, congratulated the celebrant for running a good race and finishing well without any issue.

Hajiya Salamatu thanked Alhaji Aliyu for all his sacrifices over the years against all odds to see to the development of the Ombudsman Institution while praying for God to continue to bless him and his family.

In his response, the celebrant, Alhaji Aliyu Nuhu Kaura-Sanni thanked the Honourable Chief Commissioner for giving him the opportunity to work with him at the Headquarters to contribute his own ideas to the upliftment of the Commission without any hindrance or issues.

Alhaji Aliyu said he’s leaving the service without any regrets as he had given his all to the upliftment of the Commission. He added that he was leaving with lots of positive memories of his time in service to the glory of God.

He encouraged those still in service to be steadfast and hardworking in order to move the Commission forward and get to peak of their career.

Alhaji Aliyu promised to always keep in touch because once an Ombudsman is always an Ombudsman.

Highlights of the event were goodwill messages from other Directors and Staff of his Department, cutting of cake, presentation of gift to the celebrant, group photographs and a toast to a successful career and good life ahead.
