PCC SEEKS TO ADDRESS THE CHALLENGES OF CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME

The Public Complaints Commission on Tuesday organized a day interactive session with stakeholders to address the challenges mitigating the effective administration of contributory pension in the country.

Declaring the Forum open, the Honourable Chief Commissioner of the Commission, Hon. Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf urged the participants to come up with solutions that would tackle the problems faced by millions of pensioners.

He disclosed that from the many complaints lodged before the Commission by retirees, ” it is obvious that there are challenges facing the effective administration of the Scheme”.

Hon. Ayo-Yusuf stated in line with the Commission’s mandate, the forum was organized to look into the issues arising from the numerous complaints with a view to proffer solutions.

The interactive session had in attendance, officials of the National Pension Commission, Pension Fund Administrators ( PFAs) and retirees from both government and private organizations.
