ABIA PCC RETRIEVES THE SUM OF N725,000 FOR A COMPLAINANT

In their tireless efforts at bringing succour to the mistreated in the society, the Abia State office of the Commission successfully handled a pathetic case of breach of contract as presented by Mrs. Stella Uzodinma against Mrs. Ucheoma Asiegbu , the Head , Child Welfare office, Aba.

The Complainant in her petition captioned and dated : Abuse Of Office And Criminal Extortion By Mrs. Ucheoma Asiegbu Of The Child Welfare Office , Aba, Abia State, 5th June 2023 respectively ; had alleged therein her ugly experience in the hands of the respondent who fraudulently obtained from her the aforestated sum (being the official fee for child adoption) without keeping her side of the bargain ( which was to release a ward to the Complainant who had obviously met the financial obligations required of her).

After making futile efforts to either get hold of the ward she paid for or get reimbursed by the respondent, she wisely resorted to the Commission for professional inquiries and redress.

The seemingly sad situation turned out a heartwarming one after officers of Abia PCC delved into the unfortunate affair and as usual emerged successfully with the complete sum recovered .

The retrieved sum was today handed the overexcited Complainant by the Abia Ombudsman, Hon. Madukwe E. E. Ukaegbu who was ably represented by the Acting State Director Of Investigations, Mr. Onwutuebe Okezie.

The Complainant in her hearty response through her spouse Mr. Chibuike Uzodinma expressed her uncontrolled delight at the way and manner her petition was handled which she simply described as most professional and efficient.
