The Anambra State Ombudsman, Hon. Lolo Emelda Nwajiofor-Okoli and the State Director, Mr Charles Ekwunife were guests on Friady on “GOOD MORNING ANAMBRA” a live TV program of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Awka.
They spoke extensively on the functions of the Commission and it’s activities in the state.
They also highlighted some remarkable achievements of the Hon Commissioner since her assumption of office which includes but not limited to enhanced synergy with relevant government agencies in the state, strategic repositioning of the Commission to become a household name, promotion of proactive systemic investigation as well as open transparent and result-oriented administration which has transformed the Anambra PCC office.
According to them, the office has become a highly investigative and corrective organization driven by rigorous public enlightenment and advocacy effects.
They further stated that in spite of the daunting challenges facing the Commission, it has remained undaunted in accomplishing it’s mandate of entrenching social justice and good governance as well as maintaining its roles in the area of corruption prevention in the state.
The duo called for continued partnership between the Commission and the Anambra Broadcasting Service in realizing the Commission’s vision and mission and in the pursuit of social justice and stability, and a society where no one will be oppressed or denied his/her right.
