NIGER STATE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSION INAUGURATES ENFORCEMENT UNIT

The Enforcement Unit of Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Niger State office has been inaugurated at the headquarters in Minna.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Barr. Bala Mohammed Marika said the need for PCC to have more bite in it’s investigation necessitated the establishment of the Enforcement Unit.

According to him, investigation officers have encountered much difficulties in the bid to resolve cases involving recalcitrant respondents.

Barr. Bala further revealed that a detachment of police officers would be deployed to the Commission to help in enforcement.

Just as the Chief Justice has dedicated a Judge and a court every Thursday to handle PCC cases in Abuja; he said he had also written to the Chief Justice of Niger State to also dedicate a court to handle PCC Niger cases.

After asking the five-man team of Enforcement Unit members to stand and wear their green jackets; the Honourable Federal Commissioner officially inaugurated them to the cheering of other members of staff.

He charged them not to disappoint the Commission in the discharge of their duties.
