As part of activities to mark the 47th Anniversary of the Public Complaints Commission, the Hon Chief Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Hon Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf has launched the Complaints Lounge and Call Center.
The Hon Chief Commissioner while launching the Complaints Center urged the members of the Public not to die in silence to approach the Commission to get their complaints resolved free of charge.
The Chief said with the launch of the Complaints Lounge, the Commission can now address the problem faced by People Living with Disability thereby entertaining more complainants .
The Hon Chief Commissioner thereafter, also launched the Commission ‘s Call Center which will henceforth enable the Commission to respond to members of the public both online and via phone call.
The Chief Ombudsman said with the call centre, it will be now faster to lodge, assign and resolve complaints.
Addressing the journalists later, the Hon. Ayo-Yusuf further stated that, complainants can now easily lodge complaints from the comfort of their homes and can also call or follow it up on line to know the status of their
Other activities organized to mark the day included, a road show across the city centers of Abuja that ended up at the AClass event Center where a sensitization programme themed; Public Complaints Commission: Seek Redress Against Injustice arising from Administrative Bureaucratic Errors, Omission or Abuse by Officials of Government or Limited Liability Companies in Nigeria.
At the programme, the Hon. Chief Commissioner, Hon Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf was represent by the Director, Public Relations, Foreign Support and Inter Agency Collaborations, Mr Olumide Abodurin who in his welcome address said the essence of the road show and the sensitization programme was to celebrate the Commission’s 47th Anniversary and to create awareness on its functions.
He further stated that regardless of inadequate funding, the Commission is still doing all it can to perform effectively.
