PCC INAUGURATES ENFORCEMENT UNIT IN EBONYI STATE

The Ebonyi State Office of the Public Complaints Commission has inaugurated enforcement Unit to fast track resolution of complaints.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Federal Commissioner, Hon. Sct. Chukwu Donald Ogbonna stated that the introduction of the Unit in the Commission was born out of the passion to ensure that recalcitrant respondents were forced to obey the law.

Hon. Ogbonna said that it would be no longer business as usual where some respondents would fail to reply letters, furnish information or refuse summons by the Commission. He added that the Nigeria Police Force has approved and released some officers to work with the unit.

He said that the Unit would be working with the legal team and police officers attached to the Commission to enforce law on disobedient respondents stressing that the defaulters would be tried in the court of the Law by the unit.

The State Director, Mrs Rita Igwe congratulated those that made up the Unit and charged them to know that they have serious task ahead with much expectations.
She encouraged them to live up to expectations and ensure that the confidence reposed on them by the Commission was not lost.
The Leader of the Unit who spoke on behalf of others, Mr. Benedict Kalu thanked the Commission for founding them worthy to work in that capacity and promised not to fail the Commission.
