As part of efforts to strengthen the fight against injustice, the Lagos State office of the Public Complaints Commission paid a working visit to the Lagos State Office of the Nigerian Immigration Service, on Wednesday, 6th September, 2023.

The Honourable Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Lagos State, Hon. Hafeez Adekunle Odunewu and his team were received by the Comptroller of the Lagos State Command, Bala A. Dangana.

Revealing the purpose of his visit, the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Hafeez Adekunle Odunewu said “We are here to form a synergy to see how to bring about justice in the system of our country and particularly to the downtrodden.

“We have formed a collaboration with sister agencies such as the EFCC and ICPC and other government parastatals to see how to serve Nigerians. Our mandate is to receive, investigate and resolve complaints from the citizens against government parastatals at any level and also the private sector”, he mentioned

Comptroller B. A. Dangana appreciated the visit of the Honourable Commissioner and his team and emphasised the importance of the synergy between both government parastatals, which he said would meet the expectations of Nigerians.

According to him, “Passport issuance is not the only function of the Service. We are also saddled with internal security and border management, which makes it a key entity for the progress and development of the country”.

“On behalf of the Command, we are ready to give you all the support needed to deliver the mandate of your Commission and I am optimistic our synergy would better serve Nigerians”, he emphasised.
