WORKMAN GETS WAGES FOLLOWING PCC INTERVENTION

The Public Complaints Commission has compelled the Waje Investment Company LTD in Abuja to pay Nine months salary areas to one of its employees, Mr. Ibrahim Shekara.

The Complainant, Mr Ibrahim Shekara had earlier sought the Commission’s intervention to enable him get his salaries paid by the Company after making several efforts without any success.

The Commission after thorough investigation had recommended that the Company should pay the Complainant the total sum of #300, 000.00 for the Nine months he had worked.

The Respondent failed to implement the Commission’s recommendations and it was taken to the Magistrate Court, Wuse, Abuja where a warrant was issued to arrest the Head of the company for refusal to also appear before the Court.

Consequently, the officials of the Company rushed to the Commission with a cheque of One Hundred Thousand to commence the payment of the Complainant’s outstanding salaries. And a tripartite agreement was reached for the Company to pay the balance later.
